Seadamp T

Seadamp T is the safest way to tow any floating bodies.

Seadamp T with floating cover

A towing damper that absorbs the shocks of the sea

Seadamp T is a hydraulic towing damper designed to protect the line, the towing vessel and the towed body. It stores and disposes the energy peaks generated by waves and accelerations, keeping the tow under control.

With its floating cover the damper stays on the surface throughout the operation, remaining visible and easy to recover.

Quick guide to installation

Installation

Floating cover installation

In order to ensure floating in the water of the Seadamp, it is necessary to install the corresponding flotation support. This support should be installed before the start of operations and removed when they are completed.

Floating cover installation

Bypass installation

Together with the Seadamp, the installation of a mooring belt or bypass line section is required to prevent the loss of the connection to the float body in case of unexpected structural failure of the Seadamp. The characteristics of the bypass should be identical to those of the line used.

  • The length of the bypass should be three times the length of the Seadamp T to prevent it from interfering with the work of the damper.
  • Prevent the bypass from twisting around the Seadamp or Float.

Maintenance

After every operation

At the end of each operation, it will be necessary to visually inspect and maintain the Seadamp in order to verify the absence of any damage, leakage, and/or malfunction. Upon completion of each operation and recovery of the device, proceed to:

  1. 1Removing the buoyancy support;
  2. 2Rinsing with fresh water removing marine debris from the Seadamp and float;
  3. 3Drying both devices;
  4. 4Visual inspection against any damage, oxidation and/or leakage.

If oxidation, leakage, and/or malfunction is detected, it will be necessary to service the device by contacting the service department.

Warranty

Warranty

For consumers (private)

Pursuant to Legislative Decree 206/2005 (Consumer Code), all products sold are covered by a legal guarantee of conformity lasting 24 months from the date of delivery of the goods, valid for purchases made by private consumers.
